Licensing Sablebadger 3D Models
Most if not all of my 3d models are published under a Non-Commercial License on the various sharing sites.
“NonCommercial means not primarily intended for or directed towards commercial advantage or monetary compensation. For purposes of this Public License, the exchange of the Licensed Material for other material subject to Copyright and Similar Rights by digital file-sharing or similar means is NonCommercial provided there is no payment of monetary compensation in connection with the exchange.” –Creative Commons definition.
This basically means please do not sell copies of the model in electronic or physical/printed formats without explicit permission from me. This includes when the model is a free download, or a purchased download both of which I offer on various sites. Printing the model and gifting it to friends is not a commercial exchange, so please
feel free!
Getting a license
If you are interested in getting a license to print and distribute some of the models I have produced, I have a couple options available through my Patreon. Once you’ve attained of the licenses detailed below, you have the rights to sell physical prints of the model online and in person as long as your license membership is active. Once it expires, the license expires as well. The license also gives you access to my full Patreon archive many of which are not published on sharing sites.
Option 1: Single Item
This option is available for folks interested in only a single model from my catalog, or just want to try out selling items online with a lower commitment. A single “item” is can consist of several sub-items for example a house, and roof of the same set is considered an item, or a set of dice models released together such as the Facets set is considered one item.
Option 2: Full Catalog
In addition to the models available for download on Thingiverse, Cults, and MyMiniFactory there is an archive of all models released on the Patreon that is available. Merchant license at this level allows for selling of physical copies of all models from the full catalog instead of just the single model listed above.
